Meet Sandy! This lovely Bichon was rescued from the county shelter in pretty bad shape. Matted, dirty, she had several mammary tumors which needed to be removed. She has since been groomed, spayed, and had the tumors removed. She just had her teeth cleaned so they are all white and sparkly. She is SOOOO sweet, gentle, quiet, gets along well with other mellow dogs, loves people. We have not had her around any kids, so we are suggesting an adult home. Her adoption fee includes all of her medical treatment, she is also licensed in Maricopa county, vaccinated, and microchipped.

She has been in foster care since late October and is just a delight! All of her puppies have been adopted--now it's her turn! Cookie LOVES to play and would do best with a small very playful dog in her new home. She is a bit much for the elderly dogs. She is doing great on housebreaking provided she is on a routine. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm and tick fever negative and ready for her new home!

Chihuahua    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

$150 adoption donation Peter Pan is 8yrs old and 6lbs, Wendy is 5lbs and about 5yrs old This duo has had a rough life before coming to us. They lived their whole lives in a backyard and on the streets. They came to us with 4 'relatives' we don't know how they are related but at least all were rescued! (all dogs living in the same yard) They were completely unsocialized, terrified of humans, and hid all day long. They have come a LONG way in a few months, but are still timid and shy around new people. They are very submissive and sweet. Their home must be 100% secure and escape proof. They do well with other dogs, are somewhat ... (Read More)housetrained, but also uses pottypads. They are current on vaccines, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and had complete dental cleanings. They also tested negative for heartworm, tick fever, lyme disease, and anaplasmosis. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-09-00247Lexi!!! (female)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

**Lexi has separation anxiety-she MUST go to a home where either there are people home 24/7 or there is at least one other dog in the home and people are home almost always. She would make an excellent service/emotional support dog as she is very friendly and extremely intelligent. She would love to be someone's constant companion. Adoption fee will be 100% refunded if/when she completes training. GREAT GIRL!!! $250 adoption donation Lexi is a chubby SWEET 6 yr old cockapoo. She was surrendered to the shelter because her owner could not afford medical care for her. When we rescued Lexi she immediately went to our veterinarian and ... (Read More)was whisked into surgery--she had 5 LARGE bladder stones making her unable to urinate. While under anesthesia she also had a dental cleaning. Lexi's stones were strictly from untreated infection. She does not need to be on special food, but does need to have her urine monitered a few times a year to make sure there is no infection. Lexi has spent a few months in foster care being monitored by our vet, and was just given a clean bill of health! Our vet believes that she is not prone to infections, but was just left untreated for so long, causing the infection to become very severe. Lexi is SOOO sweet, happy, loves EVERYONE she meets--dogs, cats, people, even kids!!! She knows the doggy door, walks well on a leash and loves affection. The one thing she does not like is to be left alone--she would do well in a busy household with lots of people and/or animals and someone home almost always. She is SUCH a dream dog!!!! (Less)
